At the close of Egypt's dark XIth Dynasty, fear rules the land. Pharaoh is weak, corruption flourishes, and the ancient worship of Ptah has been displaced by the cult of Set. Only the Oryx Province remains faithful to an older vision, preserving a tradition of wisdom and courage amid the gathering darkness.
Told through the eyes of Ra-ab, heir to the Nomarch of the Oryx, Eyes of Horus follows the awakening of a young leader who discovers that the fate of Egypt rests not only on armies and rulers but on the inner struggle between fear and freedom. Guided by the secret brotherhood known as the Watchers of the Horizon, he joins a movement dedicated to preparing the way for a new age.
Their watchword is simple: "Send Fear into Exile." As Egypt stands poised between decline and renewal, Ra-ab must confront corruption, intrigue, and the forces that seek to keep the nation in darkness. Rich in atmosphere and alive with the splendor and mystery of ancient Egypt, Eyes of Horus is the story of a nation struggling to emerge from fear and of the young leader destined to help guide its renewal.
The story of Ra-ab continues in Lord of the Horizon.
